Arrived in inbox promptly. It knitted up quickly and then came the embroidery bit! I followed the instructions and my mushrooms grew and looked amazing. The recipient was enthralled by my gift and said it was her new favourite for her new baby. Mant thanks!
I have been knitting for 58 years but never from the top down and I'd never used a circular needle before. Neither have I embroidered anything onto the things I have made. Instead I have bought crotcheted items to sew onto garments. Embroidering yourself is so much more personal.
The instructions were easy to follow with handy photos. Loved the step by step process of the best way to do the embroidery.
I loved making this and already have wool to make a larger size in a different colour. I did make a couple of mistakes but that was because knitting with a circular needle was foreign to me as I knit with my right needle tucked under my arm. As I am used to knitting with large numbers of stitches on straight needles so I'm going to try that next time and hopefully won't make any mistakes.
I shall probably buy some more of the embroidery designs. Although I am quite capable of drawing a design myself, it it great to have the work already done for you by Julie in the correct scale for the size of garment you have knitted 😁
